Cedar Valley
Mountain Vineyard Christian Fellowship has been in the Covington Community for over 20 years and we believe that God has called us to focus our money, time and energy so that we can meaningfully serve and bless our community.
After the Katrina hurricane, Roy heard a pastor say that the biggest tragedy for him was that his church had just disappeared and no one will miss them. He said the next church he plants will be so relevant to the community that if they did not show up everyone would miss them.
Mountain Vineyard needs to be relevant to the needs of the Community: Essential, Functional and Crucial!
We need your help as we reach out and serve the Cedar Valley Community!
Cedar Valley Elementary School is a school with very real needs; an inner city school in the suburbs. Since Jesus calls us to serve the “least of these”, we contacted the Cedar Valley Principal about the possibility of “partnering” with Cedar Valley. Our desire is that Mountain Vineyard is here for the Cedar Valley Community for the long haul and whatever we do, we want to do it with excellence and quality.
Our vision is that we are adopting the entire school and Cedar Valley Community to serve the principal, teachers and support staff, parents, kids and families. We know that if we work together, we can help bring hope to Cedar Valley. By making a difference at Cedar Valley, by definition, we make a difference at Cedar Heights Middle School; we make a difference at Kent lake High School and to the Covington Community as a whole.

This fall we are stepping up our involvement at Cedar Valley by offering an after school tutoring program sponsored by World Vision’s Kid Reach program. We were the only church selected this year because we already had a good working relationship with the school, our church supported this ministry and World Vision did their homework on the school.
How Can You Help?- Realize that our outreach to Cedar Valley is bigger and broader than Kids Ministry and that God wants to great things through you and I
- Give of your finances to Mountain Vineyard to allow us to keep serving our community
- Pray! Ask the Lord what He is calling you to do and how you can use your unique skills, gifts and abilities
