Our mission is that all we do at Mountain Vineyard would center around worship, that everything is done as an offering to Him, and that we desire His purposes, rather than our own agendas. Worship is an expression of our heart towards God. One of the Hebrew words for worship means to "fall on face and kiss one's feet." God created man to worship Him and He wants us to draw into His presence and experience His touch in our lives. Worship involves the submission, dedication and presentation of our whole selves to God (Romans 12). A part of that complete worship experience is giving praise and expressing adoration (love) to God.
The Vineyard highly values worship and this is evidenced by our having a time of worship in nearly every event held. Most of the songs that we sing emphasize the value of singing to God rather than about God. As we direct our worship to Him, we are drawn into an ever increasing intimacy with God the Father.
We want to honor God by making Him the sole focus of our worship, and by living lives of whole-hearted devotion to Him. We are hungry to know God's presence, hear His voice and intently follow Him (Psalm 63:1-3).
Worship Ministry
The worship ministry at our church exists to encourage and develop the worship of God, specifically through music and other creative arts. We long for our corporate worship times to be so filled with the His unmistakable Presence that each person who walks through the door feels it, catches a glimpse of His glory and is powerfully impacted by His intimate, merciful love for them. We aim to move in the signs of the present fulfillment of the Kingdom, inviting the Spirit's powerful presence, ministering through the Spirit's gifting, and seeing God heal and work wonders (Mark 1:14-15).
